Critical Condition: A Rhode Island Prognosis, a PBS documentaryproduced and directed by Maria Saracen and edited by Scott Saracen,
premiers October 30th, 2008. The documentary addresses the reasons
why since 2002, the number of Rhode Islanders without health insurance
has doubled . Experts interviewed include the director of the Rhode
Island Department of health, a past president of the Rhode Island Medical Society and the Health Insurance Commissioner.
